Girls lacrosse clinic registrations now open

A girl’s lacrosse clinic is coming up soon for kids in grades 2 -8. The Queen Anne Quick Styx Girls Lacrosse Club fall girls clinic is on Oct. 19, and will give kids a first-hand look at the sport and an opportunity to join their spring 2014 season.

The upcoming clinic has two programs; one for beginner or novice players from noon to 1:30 p.m., and a clinic for players with prior experience form 2 to 3:30 p.m.. The novice clinic is designed as an introductory session, covering basic skills such as shooting, cradling, scooping and more. The prior experience clinic will be an opportunity to refresh and enhance skills and meet future teammates.

Ballard High School girls lacrosse team members and their coach are expected to be at the clinic as instructors. The class will be at the Queen Anne Bowl at 2806 3rd Ave W. and costs $5. Registration will be limited to the first 60 players at each level. To register or learn more, contact club director George Bergeron at bergerongeorge@hotmail.com.
