Crews are out responding to a 30-gallon diesel spill in Fisherman’s Terminal today. The state Department of Ecology, U.S. Coast Guard, Port of Seattle and a private cleanup contractor are working to take care of the spill, caused by a broken hose in the engine room on a 73-foot fishing vessel docked in the terminal. The spill is reportedly contained within the terminal, and the owner of the fishing vessel has hired Global Diving to help clean up the spill.
