Friday, October 18:

  • Finnish Folk Music Night at the Swedish Club (1920 Dexter Ave N) from 7 p.m. Pekka Pentikäinen and Perttu Paappanen  will be appearing for an evening of new and traditional Finnish folk music. No cover charge and free parking. Click here for more details.

Saturday, October 19:

  • Market St Singers Rummage Sale at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church (5710 22nd Ave NW) from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m. Please come and support your local singers. Market St Singers are a non-audition, volunteer community choir based in Ballard.   • Saturday Morning Learn to Meditate Retreat At Kadampa Meditation Center (6556 24th Ave NW) from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. This retreat will offer instruction on basic meditations for calming the mind and turning it in a positive and optimistic direction.   • Breathing Empowered Breath and Meditation Lab at Embrace the Moon (1716 NW Market St) from 10:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m. Learn how to utilize your breath to create more energy, more balance or a more relaxed state of being.   • The Great Seattle Pinball Rally at Hilliard’s Brewing (1550 NW 49th St) from 12 p.m. – 8 p.m. Pin collectors and enthusiasts are gathering from 12:00pm-8:00pm for the very first Seattle Pinball Rally.   • Retro Bingo Fundraiser at Ballard Elks Lodge (6411 Seaview Ave) from 6 p.m. – 11 p.m. Join a fabulous night filled with cocktails, delicious food by City Catering Company, and fast-paced games – all while making a difference and supporting the grant recipients of Plus One!   • Motown Dance Party Fundraiser at Sunset Hill Community Club (3003 NW 66th St) from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. Come dance to the greatest Motown hits of the 1960s with a live DJ! Funds help support our historic community building & nonprofit neighborhood organization. Beer & wine sold.   • Ballard Farmers Markets along Ballard Ave from 10 a.m. – 3 p.m. Click here to see this week’s specials.
  • Wax On Event at Anchors Down Bar (2016 NW Market St) from 4 p.m. Every Sunday at Anchors Down, bring in your vinyl records to listen to and share with fellow music junkies. All vinyl, all day, and an all day happy hour. We’ll take turns playing our favorite cuts and talk about music through the years. All music welcome!
  • Ballard Elks Lodge Ballroom Dancing (6411 Seaview Ave NW) from 7 p.m. – 10 pm. Live music will be provided by The Eddy Fukano Band. Singles and couples are welcome and cost is $7 per person.  Click here for more details.
