291Ballard Historical Society has release their much anticipated “Ballard Beauties” 2014 calendar. The calendar features period wallpaper from old Ballard homes paired with beauties for each month of the year.

The calendar features some fantastic historical shots including Miss Ruth Frank (pictured) who was crowned Miss Seattle in 1925. Frank later married Ballard resident Ted Peterson who represented Ballard as a state legislator for many years.

The calendar costs $15 and can be purchased locally at Secret Garden Bookshop (2214 NW Market St), Sunset Hill Green Market (6405 32nd Ave NW), Swanson’s (9701 15th Ave NW), or at the Ballard Chamber office (2208 NW Market St).

All funds raised go towards the Ballard Historical Society, which is a nonprofit committed to the research, preservation and public awareness of the history of the Ballard community.
