This Friday night, December 6th, the Ballard High School Girl’s basketball team will be hosting the first annual “Girls Night Out” at their 6:30 pm game versus Newport High School at Ballard.

All pre-high school girls are invited to attend the game and cheer for the Beavers. If they have a school or club jersey they are encouraged to wear them to the game. Girls will get the opportunity to greet the players during introductions as well as win some fun prizes at halftime.

“My goal has always been to better connect the Ballard girls basketball program to the girls in the community”, says head coach Sara Wetstone. “We have some great girls on our team who grew up in the community always wanting to play for the Beavers. Hopefully there are some future Beaver stars that will come out Friday night”, she added.

Ballard Girl’s basketball is now offering training and open gym on Sundays from 3:00 to 4:15 pm at the Ballard Boys and Girls Club for all girls. The program runs through February. Drop in fee of $10/session goes directly to support the Ballard High School girls program.
