It is the weekend and once again there are many exciting things happening in our neighborhood. Enjoy your weekend in Ballard!

Friday, December 6:

  • Artist Holiday Studio Tour at Blowing Sands Glass (5805 14th Ave NW) at 5 p.m. The Sampling is a free, self–guided tour offering holiday shoppers a relaxed and intimate opportunity to meet the artists in their own environments. Click here to learn more.
  • Northwest Girlchoir performance of Noël By the Numbers at Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church (7500 Greenwood Ave N) at 7:30 p.m. The concert highlights Northwest Girlchoir’s most advanced choirs in an elegant program featuring a unique collection of songs that draw attention to both the subtle and prominent references to “numbers” in holiday music. Tickets will be available at the door for: $25 adults, $15 Youth/Student + Senior prices. Saturday, December 7:

  • Soulumination and Stoup Brewing fundraiser event at 1108 NW 52nd St from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. Stoup Brewing will be supporting Solumination fundraising efforts by donating $1 for every pint or growler purchase of our Weissbier. Click here for more details.
  • Annual Holiday Craft Sale at the corner of NW 75th & 23rd Ave NW from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Large selection of handcrafted items: pot holders, note cards, hand-dyed socks and baby clothes, jewelry, hand knit and felted hats, baked goodies. Click here for more details.
  • Winter Festival and Crafts Fair at Phinney Center (6532 Phinney Ave N) from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. 115 crafts vendors, live entertainment on two stages, lunch items, huge bake sale, quilt raffle. $2/PNA member; $4/nonmember. Children 12 and under free. Click here for more details.
  • Santa’s First Magical Ride: The Musical performance at 6541 Jones Ave NW at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and with a live band, full cast of characters and a brand new story it is sure to be fun for the entire family. Click here for more details.
  • Magnolia Chorale 25th year Concert at Magnolia Lutheran Church (2414 31st Ave W) at 7:30 p.m. The concert will showcase a combination of classical, holiday classic and show tune music. Tickets are $10. Click here to buy tickets and to learn more about the event.

Sunday, December 8:

  • The Norwegian Ladies Chorus of Seattle Annual Holiday Concert at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church (2400 NW 85th St) at 3 p.m. $12 suggested donation at the door, children 12 and under free. There will be a dessert reception following the concert.
  • Sustainable Ballard Barter Fair and Holiday Party at Ballard Odd Fellows Hall (1706 NW Market St) from 4 p.m. – 7 p.m. Barter items in the past have included hand-made jewellery, home-grown produce, jams and more. During the event, Sustainable Ballard will raffle off a beautiful basket of products and gift certificates donated by Ballard businesses.   • Wax On Event at Anchors Down Bar (2016 NW Market St) from 4 p.m. Every Sunday at Anchors Down, bring in your vinyl records to listen to and share with fellow music junkies. All vinyl, all day, and an all day happy hour. We’ll take turns playing our favorite cuts and talk about music through the years. All music welcome!
  • Ballard Elks Lodge Ballroom Dancing (6411 Seaview Ave NW) from 7 p.m. – 10 pm. Live music will be provided by The Eddy Fukano Band. Singles and couples are welcome and cost is $7 per person.  Click here for more details.
