DPD to host meeting about building height limits in Lowrise Multifamily Zones

The Department of Planing and Development (DPD) is hosting a meeting on January 14 to discuss the citywide issue of building height limits in Lowrise Multifamily Zones. The meeting will be held at Lowell Elementary School (1058 E Mercer St Seattle) from 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

The DPD want to hear from local communities about how recently constructed buildings in lowrise zones are fitting into neighborhoods.

“Ballard has a sizeable area of lowrise zoning. We’re evaluating possibilities for reductions to allowable building height,” writes Geoffrey Wentlandt from the DPD.

All are welcome to attend the meeting to give their feedback on the issue.
