Volunteers needed at Ballard Library for Count Us In 2014

Volunteers are needed to help count homeless youth on January 23rd at Ballard Library (5614 22nd Ave NW). Every year since 2011, United Way of King County has facilitated the Count Us In project, a point-in-time count to gather information on homeless and at-risk youth.

Last year, through this project, 776 youth and young adults were counted as homeless or unstably housed in King County.

All are welcome to volunteer and assist local organizations to better understand the extent and nature of youth homelessness in our community so that more can be done to effectively address it.

As a volunteer you must be high-energy, outgoing and commit to one two to four hour shift on January 23rd between 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. The minimum age to volunteer is 18.
