Ballard celebrates as the Seahawks crush Denver

Updated 9:30 p.m.: It’s not just Pioneer Square and the U District, fans are celebrating here in Ballard, from Market St. to Old Ballard. A crowd at Bergen Place turned a Market St. crosswalk into a roving party:

Earlier: Fireworks, car horns and hollering echoed around the neighborhood as the Seahawks closed out the Super Bowl in grand fashion, trumping the Denver Broncos 43-8. Congratulations Seahawks and the 12th Man!

The City of Seattle says the victory parade will be on Wednesday.

    now, can those of you with the silly “12th man” flags on your vehicles please remove them so I can tell if it is the Pagliacci pizza delivery guy bringing my pie or just some rabid fan.

  2. I don’t think those 12th man flags are going anywhere. Nor should they. To prove most sportscasters wrong, that earns a little pride.
