Car prowler reported in Loyal Heights

Posted by Danielle Anthony-Goodwin on February 20th, 2014

My Ballard reader Pat emailed in this morning to report a car prowler in the Loyal Heights neighborhood. Pat saw the suspicious activity at around 6:30 a.m. this morning while walking his dog on the corner of NW 73rd St and 21st Ave NW.

Pat reportedly saw the man suspiciously looking and shining a flashlight into the window of his SUV. “From about a half block away I yelled “Hey, get away from my car!” and the guy ran south on 21st Ave NW towards Salmon Bay Park,” writes Pat.

Pat described the man as about 6 ft, with mid-length dark hair and dark clothes.

“Keep your cars locked neighbors and don’t leave anything valuable inside,” writes Pat.

If you see suspicious car prowl activity or have your car broken into report it to the SPD North Precinct at (206) 684-0850.
