This Saturday Ballard Art Walk will be in full swing at venues all over the neighborhood from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. The monthly event will showcase local painting, glass art, sculpture, performance and more.
This month Miro Tea (5404 Ballard Ave NW) will feature the artwork of Madeline Owen (pictured), a senior at Ingraham High School. This young artist features animals in her show “Curios Poses.” Owen chose to showcase animals as she believes that each animal moves in a unique way. “I want to explore this energy in my art,” says Owen.
