Ballard Library to welcome second American woman to reach summit of Everest

untitledBallard Library’s (5614 22nd Ave NW) Teen Space program is hosting an extra special guest at this Sunday’s meeting.

Ballard resident Peggy Luce Gudgell, the second American woman to reach the top of Mount Everest, will tall about her amazing journey by sharing her stories, pictures and equipment.

After Gudgell’s stories, attendees can enjoy music, board games and art supplies.

Come alone or bring your friends, then make new friends! Snacks will be provided.

The meeting will be held this Sunday, March 16 from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m.

  1. i’m pretty sure just about every person to summit Everest have a small army of porters to carry all their luxurious gear.

    should have one of those dudes instead. they do the same “hike” but with huge packs of rich folk gear on their backs…
