Ballard filmaker set to debut short film tonight at Ballard Pizza Company

Local film maker and Ballardite Jacques Pugh will be debuting his short film this evening, Monday, April 14, from 7:30pm at Ballard Pizza Company (5107 Ballard Ave NW).

The film titled Submerged is an intense drama that explores the issues of sexual assault in the military. The film has been adapted to stage and is currently slated for a May opening at the Freehold Theatre Lab.

Pugh retired from the US Army in March 2008 after a long career which included deployments to Bosnia and Iraq during the mid to late 90s into the 2000s.

Since then he has successfully pursued a career in broadcast journalism as an Anchor/Reporter in a range of markets including Seattle, Little Rock, AR,  Pittsburgh, PA, and Indianapolis, IN.

The screening is free and open to the public. Pugh will also be at the event to answer audience questions after the film has screened.
