ballard-blocks-rendering-5-6-14_600xx4800-3200-800-0According to a report by the Puget Sound Business Journal, a Ross Dress for Less store will be opening at Ballard Blocks (4609 14th Ave NW) mid next year.

The store will be approximately 35,000 square feet and it will open on the second level of the Ballard Blocks building.

The opening of the Ballard store will bring the total Seattle Ross locations up to five and will add another to the more than 1,000 Ross locations nation wide.

According to the report, the latest tenants to move into the 131,000-square-foot complex were Sharkey’s in June 2013 and Top Pot Doughnuts in January 2013.

With the addition of Ross to the list of tenants, Ballard Blocks will become 93 percent full.

The My Ballard team will keep readers informed of the opening date when it is known.

  1. The signs have been up for awhile now, so it’s curious that they won’t open until the middle of next year. That’s more than a year away…what on earth do they have to do to the space? I would have expected it to be more move-in ready!

  2. Who thought putting a discount chain like ROSS into a young, hip, gentrified neighborhood that, increasingly is only accessable to those making over 100k per year is going to be a great business idea?….$5 latte’ (not at Starbucks because that’s too corporate), $8 organic soy-butter sandwich (because you’re allergic to pesticides and nuts)…and a discounted FUBU t-shirt?!?

  3. Can’t wait! Would love to see it open this year rather than next, though. I think this is the perfect location for this type of business – room for it, plenty of parking, etc. The boutiques are great but bettter suited to the small storefront areas. A broad mix of retail gives us better options to shop near home.

  4. Really beautiful post about the dresses and I would like to share it with my friends also. By the way, I have needed some ideas about some popular womens clothing collections. Do you have any idea where I can get this service?
