A portion of Holman Road Northwest between 7th and 9th Avenue Northwest will be closed starting at 8 p.m. tonight through Saturday at 6 p.m., as crews work on bridge deck repairs and paving work. This work is weather dependent, but it appears mother nature will give crews a window to complete the work this weekend.

Drivers in the area will be detoured around the closure via Northwest 85th Street, and 3rd Avenue Northwest. Local bus access will be maintained during the closure, and riders can check the King County Metro alerts & updates page for the latest information.

Phase 2 construction of the Holman Road paving project began on May 19. During this phase, workers will be making sidewalk spot repairs on both sides of Holman Road Northwest, and doing road resurfacing work, between Northwest 87th Street and 7th Avenue Northwest, constructing curb ramps at six intersections, and doing median road work. The entire project is expected to be mostly complete by the end of the summer.

Crews are continuing work on Phase 1 construction, which has included sidewalk repairs, new ramps, bus shelter renovations, along with landscaping and paving work on Holman Road Northwest between 7th Avenue Northwest and Greenwood Avenue North. That work began the week of April 14.
