Family Night at Swanson’s Nursery this Thursday

Swanson’s Nursery (9701 15th Ave NW) will host its first Summer Nights at Swanson’s event this Thursday, staying open an extra two hours until 8 p.m. for its annual “Grow With Us Family Night.”

10 percent of sales made between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. will go to the Ballard Boys & Girls Club to support future gardening projects at the club.

Along with face painting and balloon artists, there will also be a seed-planting station for kids courtesy of Renee’s Garden Seeds.

Attendees can also grab a bite to eat from pair of local food vendors, whether its dinner from Hot Dog King or dessert from Sweet Wheels Ice Cream Sandwiches

The event is part of a larger initiative by Swanson’s, as the nursery funds a community gardening and landscaping project at the Boys & Girls Club this summer.
