What’s on this weekend

With the Fourth of July falling on Friday this year, most Seattleites get to enjoy a long weekend. Here’s what Ballard has to offer for those looking to get out this Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday, July 5

  • Laugh Out Logic at the Ballard Underground (2220 NW Market St) at 8:30 p.m. A town hall rules debate operated as a double elimination tournament. Tickets from $10. Click here for more details.

  • KEXP Community Partnership Benefit Show at Sunset Tavern (5433 Ballard Ave NW) at 9 p.m. Featuring Posse with Aan and Peeping Tomboys. Tickets are $10. 21 and over. For more information, click here.

Sunday, July 6

  • Yoga for Gardeners at Swansons Nursery (9710 15th Ave NW) from 11 a.m. — noon. Instructor Theresa Elliott, director of Taj Yoga and co-director of Pacific Yoga Teacher Training, teaches some easy yoga poses and stretches for before, during, and after gardening. Click here for more information.
  • Summer Concerts at the Ballard Locks featuring the Greenwood Concert Band. The show starts at 2 p.m. on the Ballard Locks lawn. Click here to see the full summer schedule.
  • The Filling is Mutual at the Ballard Underground (2220 NW Market St) at 7 p.m. Comedy meets cooking in this interactive experience where audiences will learn new recipes, taste said recipes and watch stand up. Tickets from $10. Click here for more details.
