Pavement repairs on 32nd Avenue Northwest start Wednesday

By Joe Veyera

The Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) has announced paving crews will begin work to replace concrete pavement panels this Wednesday on a stretch of 32nd Avenue Northwest.

Starting this Wednesday, and running through September 5, traffic on 32nd Avenue Northwest between Northwest 80th and Northwest 85th streets will be detoured to Northwest Loyal Way as crews repair the stretch.

King County Metro Routes 17 and 61, which typically run on that stretch, will be detoured as well for the duration of road work. Riders are encouraged to look out for “Rider Alert” signs at their bus stop, call 206.553.3000, or to visit Metro online for updates on the detour.

For more information on the work, visit SDOT’s website here, or contact Marybeth Turner, SDOT Public Relations Supervisor, at 206.684.8548.
