Groundswell NW to offer Startup Microgrants for local projects

nb_cleanup1

Thanks to the generosity of an anonymous donor, Groundswell NW is offering grants of up to $500 to assist locals who are starting projects that support the Groundswell mission of creating community parks and habitats.

Groundswell NW prefers projects to include the following:
•Be in NW Seattle.
•Be a new project.
•Have an inclusive group and invite the public to participate.
•Involve the creation and/or maintenance of public parks, habitat, or green space or involve education about a topic or project related to Groundswell’s mission.

Applications are open to both formal and informal neighborhood and grassroots community groups. Applications are open year round and applicants will be notified within four weeks of their submission by the Groundswell NW Board.

Interested community groups can find out more information and apply online. Contact Groundswell NW board member David Folweiler at david@folweiler.com or (206) 714-4271 with any specific questions.
