Hotel Albatross set to open in Ballard

According to The Stranger, Ballard is set to gain another nautical themed bar in the former Azteca space at 2319 NW Market St. Hotel Albatross, which is a collaboration between the owners of nearby Ballard favorites Hazelwood and Ochoa, will reportedly open sometime next month.

“Given the attenuated elegance of tiny Hazlewood (with its funny upstairs peep show) and Ocho’s cozy glow (and pretty custom-made shelves), the owner-driven design should be better than the 97 other nautical-themed bars in town,” writes Stranger columnist Bethany Jean Clement.

The food is set to be a winner with Zach Harjo, who created Ocho’s tapas selections, reportedly creating the menu.

The My Ballard team will keep readers up to date with the opening plans when they are known.
