Free bike tune ups on offer tonight at Chuck’s Hop Shop

New Belgium Brewing and Bike Works have teamed up to give local cyclists free bike tune ups at bars in Seattle. Their first stop is Chuck’s Hop Shop (656 NW 85th St) tonight from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

Local Seattle cycling non-profit, Bike Works, will have its roving Bike Mobile tuning truck on hand to provide locals with quality tune ups. “Just stop by Chuck’s, enjoy a New Belgium beer, kick back and let the fine people from Bike Works take care of your bike,” write organizers of the event.

Locals will be able to get a free safety tune which includes a check on the tightness of all fasteners on the bike, an adjustment of brakes and shifting, lube chain check and tire inflation.

Free individual services that are available also include the following:

  • Tube Installation
  • Brake Adjustment (*excluding hydraulic brake bleeds)
  • Derailleur Adjustment
  • Hub Adjustment
  • Bottom Bracket Adjustment
  • Headset Adjustment
  • Quick Wheel True
  • Chain Installation

Services are free, however, any donations to Bike Works are gratefully accepted.
