Mod Pizza to open flagship store in old Ivar’s spot

Posted by Danielle Anthony-Goodwin on October 30th, 2014

According to Seattle Eater, Seattle-based pizza chain Mod Pizza is moving into the location that was previously home to the much loved Ballard Ivar’s at 6000 15th Ave NW.

The “casual” pizza chain, which currently has locations all over Washington, Oregon, California and more, is planning to open the flagship store in December.

According to Seattle Eater, the new Ballard store is set to feature a “huge” 800 degree oven, outdoor seating, and a variety of beers on tap.

Mod co-founder and CEO Scott Svenson says that the store will provide a place “where families and friends can come together in a super friendly, inspired environment.”

The Ballard flagship is store number 17 to open in the state alone and the 35th to open company wide.
