Seattle culinary community set to meet in Ballard tonight

Local organization EAT BALLARD has partnered with Seattle based online resource Tate’s List to host an event for the local culinary community to taste, meet vendors and network. The event is on tonight at the Nordic Heritage Museum (3014 NW 67th St) from 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.

The event is free for all those involved in the food and beverage industry and all local restaurant owners, GM’s and bar managers are invited. Guests will be thoroughly entertained by the cocktail competition, delicious samples from a guest chef and the 35 vendor tables that will be offering tastings throughout the night.

The cocktail competition is sure to be a treat for guests to see. Ballard’s own Eric Waks of Kickin’ Boot Whiskey Kitchen will face off against Nick Davis of RN74 Seattle, Joe Petersen of Percy’s Seattle Allison Hill of The Admiral Benbow and Chris Goad of Canon Seattle to create the best winter/holiday themed cocktail using one of Tate’s List featured producers.

“Tuesday night’s event is really a celebration of Seattle’s vibrant culinary community and Ballard, which some might argue is Seattle’s culinary crown with the Ballard Farmers Market as its crown jewel,” says Gerard Wirz from EAT BALLARD.

Guests are asked to bring a non-perishable food donation for the Ballard Food Bank.
