Ballard’s own SYSA U14 Girls Lynx soccer team have made it to the semi-final round in the Washington Youth Soccer Recreational State Cup Tournament.

The team will play in the semi-final match this Saturday, December 13, at 12 p.m. at the Starfire Sports Complex in Tukwila against the WC3-HSC Freedom and if victorious they will then compete for the championship in the final match at 4 p.m.

The Ballard Lynx, coached by Whitman MS/Ballard HS parent Shane Leinster, have advanced through this tournament, already defeating the defending state champions, while still competing in the SYSA City Tournament, and participating on various middle school soccer teams.

“If you’d like to see some beautiful soccer, come on out and cheer on the Ballard Lynx #getyourlynxon,” writes Lynx parent Barbara.
