Man barricades himself inside Crown Hill home after assault

SPD officers spent hours trying to coax a man out of his home in Crown Hill on Thursday after he allegedly took hallucinogens and assaulted a family member. Check out the report from the SPD blotter below:

Officers were called to the 9200 block of 8th Ave NW around 10 a.m. on Thursday after receiving a report a man was hallucinating, had access to knives, and refused to leave the home after a domestic dispute.

The man’s family member fled the home before police arrived. SPD negotiators made several attempts to convince the man to leave the home, but he declined invitations to come outside. Officers eventually entered the house and arrested him.

Police will book the man into King County Jail for misdemeanor domestic violence assault.
