Neighborhood youth projects eligible for city funding

The city announced it will be providing funding for neighborhood projects that are planning youth activities. As part of the Seattle Neighborhood Matching Fund program, neighborhoods can apply for the Small Sparks Fund, which provides matching dollars of up to $1,000 for neighborhood-initiated projects that promote community engagement.

Examples of eligible activities include a sports event, neighborhood clean-up or talent show, according to a statement from the Seattle Department of Neighborhoods. The deadline to apply for the grants is six weeks before your planned activity. To apply, click here.
