Deadliest Catch barbecue and ship tour to benefit Nordic Heritage Museum on Saturday

Posted by Meghan Walker on May 28th, 2015

shipyardThis Saturday, there will be a Deadliest Catch barbecue to raise money for the Nordic Heritage Museum. From 2 to 5 p.m., the Pacific Fisherman Shipyard will host tours of the F/V Northwestern from Discovery Channel’s Deadliest Catch and a smorgasbord including alder-smoked king crab, salmon and cod; and pan-seared Alaskan Weathervane scallops.

Doug Dixon of Pacific Fishermen Shipyard and PFI Marine Electric and Tor Tollessen of Lunde Marine Electronics will host the barbecue and tour of the Pacific Fishermen Shipyard. Tickets for the barbecue are $100, and all proceeds will benefit the Nordic Heritage Museum. Contact Matt McCallum via email at MattM@nordicmuseum.org or phone at (206) 789-5707 ext. 38 to reserve your spot. For more about upcoming museum events, click here.

It is very gratifying to see the Northwestern crew be so supportive of Ballard and the museum.

If I had just one chance to visit the US, I would meet the Northwestern crew. They are the best kind of men – hardworking and with great hearts. I hope that they will help rise much money for the museum :)
