Ballard author to read from her first book, ‘Old is Not a Four-Letter Word’ tonight

bookA Ballard resident is launching her first book tonight at Secret Garden Book Shop (2214 NW Market St.). Susan Towle will read from her book Old Is Not A Four-Letter Word: A Guidebook For The Journey Through Old from 6 to 7:30 p.m. this evening (Friday, June 12).

From the organizers:
After 40 years as a registered nurse with deep elder care experience both in the US and internationally, Susan developed a passion and desire to share her insights and lessons learned about the aging process. It’s a book we all need to be reading, on behalf of ourselves, our parents, and (if we are lucky enough) our grandparents. She wrote this book with the purpose of providing a guidebook to help each of us navigate the journey through old. This book outlines in simple terms the planning, the tips and the how-tos that this journey requires.
