Seattle Parks and Recreation hosts an ice cream social and free concert tonight from 6– 8 p.m. The Ballard community is invited to bring a picnic to the upper lawn of the Loyal Heights Community Center (2101 NW 77th St.) and enjoy complimentary music by the Silverbacks.
The Everett-based music group plays classic rock/R&B covers featuring songs by the Beatles, Van Morrison, Aretha Franklin and more. Tilamook and Cascade ice cream is also available for purchase at $2 per scoop.
