Last year, over 1,400 events were registered to participate in the annual Seattle Night Out Against Crime. “Night Out” 2015 is tomorrow, August 4th from 5 p.m. to midnight!

The annual collective of neighborhood street parties is a national Crime Prevention event designed to heighten crime prevention awareness, increase neighborhood support in anti-crime efforts, and unite communities. While celebrating your community and spending time with your neighbors, Night Out is a great chance to build stronger police-community partnerships.

Register your block for the party or visit the map of participating locations here. As of noon today, eight locations have been registered in the Ballard area (see map).

If you wanted to sign up your block for this event but haven’t gotten around to it yet, jump on it soon as registration is only open until tonight, 5:00 PM.

If you have already registered your block, there are materials and street closure signs that you can print at the Night Out website. Seattle Police offer tips on how to close off your street and be courteous of noise and traffic here.
