Reminder and time change for City Council District 6 debate: O’Brien and Weatbrook

Mike-OBrien-and-Catherine-WeatbrookSeattle City Council District 6 candidates Mike O’Brien and Catherine Weatbrook will have a debate tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 30 at the Phinney Neighborhood Association (6532 Phinney Ave N ). The debate starts at 8 p.m. (changed from 7:30) and is free and open to the public, but the pre-registration has filled. There will be  standby line at the door, according to the ticket sales website.

The moderators will include lead moderator Ted Inkley of the Phinney Ridge Community Council Board; community moderator Mike Stewart, Executive Director of Ballard Chamber of Commerce; community moderator Carolyn Law, Artist and Public Arts Consultant; and Q&A moderator Edward Wolcher, Town Hall Community Programs Curator.

If you have a question for the candidates, you can tweet using #seacouncil or send questions to debates@townhallseattle.org to help shape the conversation. The organizers ask that people specify the district in the question.

The event will be televised by the Seattle Channel, so audience members are asked to take their seats for the prompt 8 p.m. start. If you cannot make it to the debate, the Seattle Channel will be broadcasting online as well.
