Edith, that brave lady, lives on!

Looking at the lineup – this is definitely in the spirit Edith probably would have wanted. She just loved Steal Shit Do Drugs, Full Toilet, Blood Drugs, and Don’t Talk to the Cops.

You’d think if it was in someone’s memory it would be a non-profit charitable event. It’s not. I asked.

I guess they figure Edith had no family to stop their use of a free marketing gimick, so they went with it.

Actually it raises funds for several non-profits mainly Ballard Food Bank and KEXP. It is also a community event run mainly by volunteers and Ballard venues. Edith Macefield was a Ballard musician and an inspirational person. The name is a tribute to her and the festival celebrates her neighborhood. Lots of great bands from a variety of styles are playing. It will be a really fun weekend in Ballard.
