There is a new pop-up shop coming to Ballard for the month of December. The company’s name is Wayward Stock and they sell what they lovingly call, adventure travel goods.

The owner, Chris Edwards and his crew are surfers, snowboarders, campers, hikers, bikers, and explorers. They strive to curate a collection of items that are tough and utilitarian and also have a heavy focus on design and aesthetic.

From their mission page:

“Wayward is a family… We inhabit the city, but thrive in the wild. We understand the value and comfort and preparedness in the great outdoors balanced with the demands of urban living. Whether venturing into the backcountry, heading to the coast, or exploring the city- the same rules apply. The equipment you bring can make or break your trip.

We created Wayward Stock as a place to share the items we find and create that have the perfect balance of function and aesthetic. Items that we find invaluable and reflective of the lifestyle we aspire to lead. “

Their first day open will be Friday, November 27, Tuesday-Sunday, 11am-7pm. You can find them at 2205 NW Market, next to Sonic Boom Records.
