Police Chief to speak at February CBRA meeting

Central Ballard Residents Association (CBRA) has scheduled Seattle Police Chief Kathleen O’Toole to speak at their meeting this month.

“This is a special opportunity to meet the Chief, learn about issues concerning the Ballard area and ask questions,” says CBRA Membership Coordinator Rebecca Todd.

All are welcome to attend the meeting on Wednesday, February 17, at 7 p.m. in Conference Room A on the first floor of Ballard Swedish Hospital (5330 Tallman Ave).

This month, CBRA is also partnering with SNAP (Seattle Neighborhoods Actively Prepare) to host a Disaster Preparedness Training session at Ballard Library (5614 22nd Ave NW) on Saturday, February 27, from 10:30 a.m. – 12 noon.

“This is a great chance to learn about the potential hazards we face in Washington, what to put in a disaster supplies kit, and how to create a communications plan when that disaster strikes,” says Todd.

No registration is required for either event.
