What’s on this weekend

The first week in February is here! Enjoy it at these fantastic events.

FRIDAY, February 5

  • Live Music
    • Jazz at Egan’s Ballard Jam House (1707 NW Market St). 9 p.m. 9pm – Clint McCune Band, with Clint McCune (guitar/harmonica/vocals), Aaron Brouillette (djembe/vocals) and special guest Sara Pelfrey (digeridoo) ($5 cover).
    • Athens Psychedelic Country: Futurebirds with SUSTO and Grey Waves at Tractor Tavern (5213 Ballard Ave NW) at 9 p.m. Tickets $12.
    • Kris Orlowski, My Brothers and I and The Native Siblingat Sunset Tavern (5433 Ballard Ave NW) at 9 p.m. Tickets $15.
    • Hounds of the Wild Hunt, Fountains and Sundries at Conor Byrne Pub (5140 Ballard Ave NW) at 9 p.m. Tickets $8.

SATURDAY, February 6

  • Kids Art and Craft Class at Ballard Elks (6411 Seaview Ave NW) from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Cost is $5 and the event is open to the public.
  • Board Game Day at Ballard Library (5614 22nd Ave NW) from 12 p.m. – 4 p.m. Children, teens and adults are invited to drop in and play an array of classic and new board games. Games will include Blokus, Carcassonne, Ticket to Ride, Jenga, Scrambled States of America and more.
  • Intro to Yoga Workshop at Kula Movement Center (5340 Ballard Ave NW) from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m. This semi-private workshop will bring more understanding, awareness, and catering to your needs.Cost is $45 and preregistration is required. Register online or call (206) 972-2999.

    • Lowlands, Diamond Wold and Alice Howe at Conor Byrne Pub (5140 Ballard Ave NW) at 9 p.m. Tickets $8.
    • The Crocodile Presents Panic is Perfect and Anya Marina at Sunset Tavern (5433 Ballard Ave NW) 9 p.m.  Tickets $12.
    • Jazz at Egan’s Ballard Jam House (1707 NW Market St). 7 p.m. ENCORE! RIIP & VIC: Together Again – Christine Riippi and Victor Janusz. Purchase tickets online. Any remaining seats will be sold at the door. Tickets $12.
