Package thieves return to Ballard

Package theives are back in the neighborhood, according to a post on Next Door North Ballard.

A local resident had a package stolen off the front porch of her home on NW 60th St between 20th Ave NW and 22nd Ave NW on Monday morning.

“Not a high price item, but it’s still disconcerting. The package was delivered late yesterday morning and we weren’t home, so I assume it was taken before we returned mid afternoon,” says Kathleen.

Keeping this report of package theft in mind, remember when ordering online attempt to send the packages to your work location or to somewhere where people will be present to receive the package.

Alternatively, if you are ordering from Amazon they offer a secure Amazon Locker service where packages can be picked up from lockers at various locations around Seattle including at the Ballard 7 Eleven (1550 NW Market St). The service has no extra charge and provides additional security for your packages.
