The Mailbox Ballard (2400 NW 80th St) is celebrating 20 years in business with a raffle benefiting Old Dog Haven, a local nonprofit working to provide homes for abandoned senior dogs.

Mailbox owner Ferrol Williams is excited for this exciting milestone for her business.

“In 1996, I started The Mailbox with a goal to become our neighborhood’s central shipping services provider featuring expert advice delivered by friendly professionals. Over the past 20 years we have accomplished that and more,” she says.

Tickets for the raffle are $1 each (or 6 for $5, 12 for $10, 25 for $20, and 100 for $75) and can be purchased in store or online. Locals can enter without making a purchase by doing any of the following:

  • Like/React, comment, or share any Mailbox Ballard Facebook posts
  • Answer a Mailbox Ballard Facebook trivia question
  • “Check in” on Facebook, Yelp, etc. when you are at the shop
  • Review The Mailbox Ballard anywhere online and email a screenshot of the review to services@themailboxballard.com

The Grand Prize is a basket (pictured above) featuring over 20 locally-made gifts and products, plus a $25 Fran’s Chocolates gift certificate.

The raffle will be held at 5:20 p.m. on Friday, May 20, and locals do not need to be present to win. Winners will be contacted by The Mailbox and will have three days to claim their prize or another ticket will be drawn.

Williams is thankful to the community for their continued support over the years. “It has truly been an honor to be on this journey with the Ballard community. Thank you so much to everyone for your support, your stories, and for coordinating so many visits with our favorite furry friends – we’ll always have the treat jar full,” says Williams.
