Locals are invited to participate in the 7th annual Spoke & Food event taking place next Tuesday, July 26, from 5 p.m. – 9 p.m. at 19 different restaurants spread throughout the Seattle area.
During the event, 20% of the participant’s dinner bill goes to benefit Seattle based Hunger Intervention Program
The Hunger Intervention Program is a local Seattle area non-profit that provides nutritious meals, basic cooking skills, and nutrition education to underserved individuals and families in Seattle. The Healthy HIP Packs Program, a weekend food backpack program, provides an important food resource for children in these families when school meals are not available.
Here in Ballard, The Barking Dog Alehouse (705 NW 70th St) and Maritime Pacific Brewery (1111 NW Ballard Way) are both participating.
