  • Park in the Heart childrens Art Classes at Ballard Commons Park (5701 22nd Ave NW) from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. The classes will allow children to experiment with color and each week will have a new theme. All are welcome and the event is free.
  • Movies at the Marina Event: Screening of The LEGO Movie at Shilshole Marnia (7001 Seaview Ave NW) activities from 6 p.m. and movie screening at dusk. Event is free.

    • Jazz at Egan’s Ballard Jam House (1707 NW Market St)
      • 7 p.m. – Dmitri Matheny Group – $10 cover
      • 9 p.m. – Chris Chandler and Paul Benoit – $10 cover

SATURDAY, August 6

    • Ballard History Walk from 10 a.m. – 11:45 p.m. meet at Bergen Place Park (5420 22nd Ave NW). Cost is $15 per person. Call or text (206) 504-0916 to reserve your spot.
    • Pre-Natal Yoga Class at Ballard Health and Wellness Center(1138 NW Market St) at 10 a.m. Class led by Nico Lund. Cost is $14, bring a yoga mat.
    • Reuben’s Brews 4th Anniversary Party at from noon at their tap room (5010 14th Ave NW). Event will include commemorative pint glasses, a brand new IPA release, food and more.
    • Melt Music Festival at Ballard Commons Park (5701 22nd Ave NW) from 2 p.m. – 10 p.m. The event is all ages and free.
    • Free Summer Concerts at Ballard Locks at 2 p.m. featuring Batucada – Brazilian Samba, Chorus and Forro.

      • Monqui & KBCS Present: Indie Soul- Emily King with David Ryan Harris at Tractor Tavern (5213 Ballard Ave NW) at 9 p.m. Tickets $16.
