Carjacker forces elderly woman from car in Ballard

According to a report by Q-13 FOX, a carjacking suspect forced an elderly woman out of her vehicle at gunpoint in the 7-Eleven parking lot at 999 NW Leary Way earlier this week.

SPD Detectives are on the lookout for the suspect and are appealing for information from the public.

According to the report, the suspect was armed with a black handgun that he used to stick right into the side of a woman in a 7-Eleven parking lot when she opened her door to pour out a cup of water. He ordered her out of the vehicle forcing her to leave her purse behind.

Detectives believe that the suspect is the same man featured in a surveillance video captured at Ballard Fred Meyer shortly after the robbery took place. According to the report the suspect was wearing a powder blue hoodie with white trim, black nylon pants and black converse shoes with white soles.

According to the report, the surveillance camera outside the Fred Meyer picked him up after he dumped the car walking along the sidewalk to go the store where detectives say he tried to use the victim’s credit cards.
