SATURDAY, September 24

    • 10th Annual Festival of Fruit from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Carkeek Park (950 NW Carkeek Park Rd). Event is free with activities for the whole family.
    • Ballard History Walk from 10 a.m. – 11:45 p.m. meet at Bergen Place Park (5420 22nd Ave NW). Learn about Politics, Parties & Philanthropists of early Ballard City on the year’s last Ballard History Walk! Join an interactive fun Ballard history walk with a knowledgeable guide! Cost is $15 per person. Call or text (206) 504-0916 to reserve your spot.
    • 28th annual Fishermen’s Fall Festival from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. at Fishermen’s Terminal (3919 18th Ave W). The day is jam packed with activities including the famous wild salmon BBQ, the salmon fillet challenge, live music and plenty of activities for kids of all ages.
    • Jim Page and Friends Music Jam and Sing Along Arts in the Park event at Ballard Commons (5701 22nd Ave NW) from noon – 2 p.m. Bring your voice, talent and instruments. Free event. All skill levels and all are welcome.
    • Seattle Yoga Meetup: Baptiste Yoga Class with Live Drums at Shakti Vinyasa Yoga (2238 NW Market Street) from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. Cost is $15 in advance/$20 at the door.
    • Hand Balancing Workshop (5340 Ballard Ave NW) at Kula Movement Center (5340 Ballard Ave NW) from 2:30 p.m. – 4:30 p.m. Learn to look at handstands anatomically and discover ways to find balance with more ease. If you are practicing holding a handstand, learn drills to hold longer balanced inversions. Cost is $45 pre-registered/$50 at the door. Register online or call (206) 972-2999.
    • Yoga Trance Dance – Release and Re balance (5340 Ballard Ave NW) at Kula Movement Center (5340 Ballard Ave NW) from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. In this ceremony of delight, Cosetta Romani invokes the elements, our primordial ancestors, and calls in the Good, True, and Beautiful energies from the spirit world.Cost is $20 pre-registered/$25 at the door. SUNDAY, September 25

    • Ballard Farmer’s Market along Ballard Ave from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m.
    • Sunday Morning Meditation at Amazing Grace Spiritual Center (2007 NW 61st St) from 10 a.m. – 10:20 a.m.
    • Zumba Class at Ballard Elks (6411 Seaview Ave NW) from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m. $5 suggested donation, all funds raised go to Ballard Elks charities. Classes are held on the 2nd and 4th Sundays each month.
    • Sustainable Ballard presents Meaningful Movies at Ballard First Lutheran Church (2006 NW 65th St). “Poverty Inc.” will be screened. Doors open at 5 p.m. for 5:30 p.m. start. Cost is free.
    • Sunday Movies at King’s Hardware (5225 Ballard Ave NW) present Rubin and Ed. Movie starts at sundown on the back patio.
    • Live Music
      • Open mic at Conor Byrne Pub (5140 Ballard Ave NW) sign-up at 7:30 p.m.
      • LA Blues/Rock: The Record Company with Special Guest: Ayron Jones at Tractor Tavern (5213 Ballard Ave NW) at 8 p.m. Tickets $12.
      • Cosmic Shuffle, Daisy Strains and Danger Bird at Sunset Tavern (5433 Ballard Ave NW) 8 p.m. Tickets $8.
