“Green Seattle Day is a big party for the year, and we want you there!,” the organizers write. “Join the fun in NW Seattle at North Beach Park, and be one of hundreds of volunteers planting thousands of plants in parks throughout the Emerald City. All community members are welcome, and no experience is necessary! The event is family friendly and open to all ages. Volunteers will plant trees and other plants that will become the future forest of the park.”
To join, meet at the main park entrance, at the intersection of NW 90th Street and 24th Ave NW. Park along NW 90th Street, or take bus #40 to 24th Ave NW and NW 85th St and walk downhill to NW 90th St.
