Man arrested for North Seattle sexual assault, may be connected to 2 other cases

Updated: SPD tells My Ballard this is not related to the Salmon Bay case.

Earlier: Seattle Police announced this evening that they’ve arrested a man for a February 3rd sexual assault of a woman in North Seattle. The assailant was armed with a knife.

SPD did not provide a location or a neighborhood for the assault — or the arrest Thursday by a SWAT team, which took place at the suspect’s North Seattle home. Detectives believe the man may be linked to two other cases, which SPD did not detail.

Detectives are working on a sexual assault case of a teenager in Salmon Bay Park — it’s unclear if this case is related.

The man was booked into King County Jail for investigation of rape and unlawful imprisonment. We have reached out to SPD for details, and we’ll update as we learn more.
