More high wind coming to Seattle tonight and tomorrow

The wild weather isn’t over yet — the National Weather Service has issued a high wind warning for the Seattle area from tonight (Wednesday) through Thursday afternoon.

Last Friday’s windstorm left thousands without power around the city, and tomorrow’s predicted wind could do the same.

Winds are expected to build through the night, with southerlies expected at 25 to 40 mph, and gusts up to 60 mph.

It’s been a wild week for weather in the region, with an unexpected tornado destroying homes in Port Orchard yesterday.

Thanks to Lauri Miller in the My Ballard Group for posting the above photo of a barbecue cover landing in a tree after last week’s windstorm.

  1. Wow! I completely missed this. Thanks for the heads-up! (I’m at home with a brand new shiny holiday cold, so I will watch from the safety of my armchair.)

    1. Silver- I hope you get over that cold ASAP. If the “BIG one” what ever it is, happens, then I will be connecting with you for support. :)

Is this code for another Community Feedback Meeting starring our very own CM O’Brien?

        1. I don’t either. However, the troll Uncle Buck is not “simply asking questions.” He’s deliberately using every article to comment with nonsense about his political opinions, with nothing to add to the story he’s commenting on.

          1. Uh oh, we have a vile conservative in the comment section. Better start your auto-da-fe, Social Justice Warriors, before the kids start to realize the Boomers running this town are a cabal of sex offenders living off taxpayers and pimping out the meth heads playacting as hapless workers who lost their homes.

          2. Uncle Buck, I think people are not upset that you are a vile conservative but that you do your very best to come off as a vile human. I feel you must be a very lonely and unhappy person if you spend so much time trying to get negative attention on a community blog.
If what you need is a friend, I’d be happy to meet you for coffee and give you some positive attention for a change. Despite political leanings, people are more alike than not and most people would rather see you happy than miserable. My offer is sincere and without strings.

          3. “nothing to add to the story”

I think the way news works is they publish a story and the readers read it.
