6-story apartment building planned for Interbay

An Interbay property on 15th is set to turn into a 6-story, 164-unit apartment building.

The development site at 2222 15th Ave W has just sold for $4.1 million, according to a report by the Seattle DJC. The seller was the Voier family, which has owned the property for decades.

According to the DJC, the 26,250-square-foot site is one of only certain areas in Interbay that allow residential construction.

Seattle Pump and Jetters Northwest are the current tenants of the site.

  1. Good for them. They can now afford to get out of this once great area for good. I urge everybody to listen to the police scanner for 2-3 nights and tell me everything is fine. Go ahead, I’ll wait, because all the cops do is deal with druggies and their issues over and over night after night. 1753 NW 56th is a great example here. A wet house where people threaten to jump off balconies and 911 is called daily. 10507 Aurora is another where 911 is much like room service. And now a stabbing with a PITCH FORK from a repeat offender that’d been out of jail 4 freaking days, right at the post office. Yes, I too wish I could sell a property for 1/2 of that and get the F out of this crap hole.

    1. Maybe a good streaming service is a better form of entertainment. Mind you, Mr. Incredible and Frozone listened to the police scanner, so it could be useful to help fight crime, if one were so inclined.

    2. I pity you. You seem to spend every waking hour obsessing over every little crime that happens around here. You inflate every little incident into some large problem and then spend every waking hour wringing your hands over these inflated incidents on whatever neighborhood blog hasn’t banned you yet. And this is despite crime on a downward trend and way lower than the really bad times in the 80s and 90s, even according to Seattle Times (search: ‘Is Seattle ‘dying’? Crime rates tell a different story’).

I would say that you should turn off the screaming heads on TV, shut down your computer, go outside and enjoy life, but it’s clear that you are not mentally or emotionally capable of doing that. I have a hunch that you have some debilitating mental illness that doesn’t allow you to enjoy life and makes you resent those that do.

It’s clear that you should seek mental help, nothing else can explain your futile persistence.

Yes, I too wish I could sell a property for 1/2 of that and get the F out of this crap hole.

      Well?

  2. No need for a pressure water in a town home… these guys did work on my pressure washer 20 years ago, and it’s still running strong! Good business!
