Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right

Little darling, it's been a long cold lonely winter
Little darling, it feels like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Little darling, the smiles returning to the faces
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been here
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun
and I say it's all right

Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...
Sun, sun, sun, here it comes...

Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it's been clear
Here comes the sun, here comes the sun,
and I say it's all right
    It's all right

For those of you who are fan of German Industrial music:

    Sonne (Rammstein)

    Eins, zwei, drei, vier, fünf
    Sechs, sieben, acht, neun, Aus.

    Alle warten auf das Licht
    Fürchtet euch fürchtet euch nicht
Die Sonne scheint mir aus den Augen
Sie wird heute Nacht nicht untergehen
Und die Welt zählt laut bis zehn

    Eins
    Hier kommt die Sonne
    Zwei
    Hier kommt die Sonne
    Drei
Sie ist der hellste Stern von allen
    Vier
    Hier kommt die Sonne

Die Sonne scheint mir aus den Händen
    Kann verbrennen kann euch blenden
Wenn sie aus den Fäusten bricht
Legt sich heiss auf das Gesicht
Sie wird heute nacht nicht untergehen
Und die Welt zählt laut bis zehn

    Eins
    Hier kommt die Sonne
    Zwei
    Hier kommt die Sonne
    Drei
Sie ist der hellste Stern von allen
    Vier
    Hier kommt die Sonne
    Fünf
    Hier kommt die Sonne
    Sechs
    Hier kommt die Sonne
    Sieben
Sie ist der hellste Stern von allen
    Acht, neun
    Hier kommt die Sonne

Die Sonne scheint mir aus den Händen
    Kann verbrennen, kann dich blenden
Wenn sie aus den Fäusten bricht
Legt sich heiss auf dein Gesicht
Legt sich schmerzend auf die Brust
    Das Gleichgewicht wird zum Verlust
Lässt dich hart zu Boden gehen
Und die Welt zählt laut bis zehn

    Eins
    Hier kommt die Sonne
    Zwei
    Hier kommt die Sonne
    Drei
Sie ist der hellste Stern von allen
    Vier
Und wird nie vom Himmel fallen
    Fünf
    Hier kommt die Sonne
    Sechs
    Hier kommt die Sonne
    Sieben
Sie ist der hellste Stern von allen
    Acht, neun
    Hier kommt die Sonne
    Aus

And shut up. I thought he was good. I wasn't hiding his albums in high school when I was too cool to live. They just happened to be in the back behind the Stones and the Traveling Woolburys.

Seriously, BH? John Denver? I actually went to see Neil Diamond when he was here years ago. Co-worker had extra ticket & offered it to me. Thought why not. And hate to admit it, it was pretty good. I felt very young that night as most in the audience were older than me.

  14. Good Day Sunshine, Good Day Sunshine, Good Day Sunshine

I need to laugh and when the sun is out
I've got something I can laugh about
I feel good in a special way
I'm in love and it's a sunny day

Good Day Sunshine, Good Day Sunshine, Good Day Sunshine

We take a walk, the sun is shining down
Burns my feet as they touch the ground

Good Day Sunshine, Good Day Sunshine, Good Day Sunshine

Then we'd lie beneath the shady tree
I love her and she's loving me
She feels good, she knows she's looking fine
I'm so proud to know that she is mine.

Good Day Sunshine, Good Day Sunshine, Good Day Sunshine

Back in the early 80's in Alaska, I waited on John Denver and some of his crew at the restaurant I was working at. They were a bit high maintenance and a bit obnoxious, and left a me a joint as part of their paltry tip! Of course I "disposed" of it quickly!...but I really prefer people stick with the cash option! However, I still like his music, always have. (And NO!, I didn't ask for an autograph!)

Shame eBay didn't exist back then - you could have made a mint selling that joint :-)

Confession time. I indulged in the sunshine and I love John Denver.

    lifeisamazing:.....makes me happy :o)

Didn't mean to get fried today...was just getting a grieving friend outside and walking for the first time in six weeks. (I am RED now but it doesn't hurt and I really needed the vitamin D anyway)

    re-trend followers...

...not like you are trying to be different, like everyone else...

at least you have the nerve to hate everyone equally...'cept yourself, of course.

  22. It's gettin' near dawn,
When lights close their tired eyes.
I'll soon be with you my love,
    Give you my dawn surprise.
I'll be with you darlin' soon,
Be with you when the stars start fallin'.
    I've been waitin' so long
    To be where I'm going

In the SUNSHINE of your love.

SA - Even if they have 'banned' the movie Song of the South I love that song. I learned it with the last two lines being: Wonderful Feeling
    Wonderful Day.

Walk along the river, sweet lullaby, it just keeps on flowing,
It don't worry 'bout where it's going, no, no.
Don't fly, mister blue bird, I'm just walking down the road,
Early morning sunshine tell me all I need to know

    CHORUS
You're my blue sky, you're my sunny day.
Lord, you know it makes me high when you turn your love my way,
Turn your love my way, yeah.

Good old sunday morning, bells are ringing everywhere.
Goin to Carolina, it won't be long and I'll be there

Sunshine, daydream, walking in the tall trees, going where the wind goes
Blooming like a red rose, Now come on over sweetly,
Ride out singin', "I got you in the morning sunshine."

Sunshine, daydream, Now come on over daydream
Sunshine, daydream. Hey come on, Never gonna sweet dream
Sunshine, daydream, Wading in a cold stream.

Say calling out your window, "Wake Up!"
Going where the wind goes, Never gonna miss that, No no no!
Ride out singin', "I got you in the morning sunshine."

Sunshine, daydream, (Hey) Street coming daydream
Hey, hey, I'm moving on a daydream, (Hey)
    Hey, Sweet coming daydream, (Hey)

Sun coming daydream, Come on over daydream,
Come on over, Come on over daydream,
Sweet coming daydream, Hey, never fade away dream,
Yea, Hey hey, Sweet coming daydream, Never fade away dream

    Slight hijack

"In the SUNSHINE of your love."

Smartsy, that song has my vote for the most innovative, pioneering blues/rock solo of all time for that era.

    I forget his name, haa!

    Slightly end hijack
