Huh? I fell back several years ago and still can't understand why farting loudly doesn't help me spring forward.
(Just my opinion of the whole unnecessary process.) hmpf

iPlod - you need one of those monitors "Help me, I've fallen and can't get up." And you would think "jet propulsion" would work for you!

Sorry gracie, I didn't mean to crap on your timely heads up for everyone. I just think the whole premise behind daylight savings is no longer valid much less entirely bogus from the beginning.

I've got a Benjamin Franklin in my pocket that says you're wrong iplod.
daylight savings time rules, especially when we fall back.

Iplod and Gracie!
And don't forget that Daylight Savings Time is an immense contributor to climate change!!! Think about it. We adjust our clocks to get an extra hour of daylight each day for month after month, AND during the warmest part of the year!! Imagine the effect of all that extra sunlight!!!! They should be having us fall back at least 2 hours in the winter to help bring the average temps back down more. Amazing to me we don't hear more about this!!!
On a related note. Years back I was trying to contact someone in our Washington DC office. I was having trouble reaching her and kept leaving messages. Finally I hit a point where I really needed to touch base with her and contacted another person in her office and asked her to pleassssse make sure the woman called me. "And Oh....by the way....I will be out at lunch between 12 and 12:30."
There was a silence on the other end of the call, and then the woman said...."but its already 1:30?" I laughed and explained that I was in Oregon. There was another pause and the woman said, "yeah?" I explained that Oregon was on the West Coast. Another pause. I went further and explained we were 3 hours earlier than she was? Another pause....and then she said......and I kid you not.....then she said "whhhhhy?"
She was the first person I was tempted to introduce to my Daylight Savings Time theory of climate change!

Ha ha, dsomers! Send her to China. They have only one time zone there.
great idea, I've got a Benjamin Franklin in my pocket I can't get to say anything.
How DO you do it? =DPosted 1 year ago # -
When told the reason for daylight savings time the Old Indian said, "Only the government would believe that you could cut a foot off the top of a blanket, sew it to the bottom, and have a longer blanket."
I heard this years ago and still love it!
