Are you looking for a fun time with all your friends and family? Why not host a Anti-Aging Demo Party!? It's simple, when you invite all your friends and family you ask them to bring a dozen or so cookies and the recipe with them. I will be doing a Galvanic Spa demo's and then we all share and swap cookies and recipes! Also, while enjoying the yummy treats, you and your guests can look through the catalog and do a little Christmas shopping. I will give you ideas for great gift giving with our wonderful products! All that fun PLUS for being a host you will get AMAZING benefits! !Also you can earn 50% off items, free products, a discount, free shipping,!So what are you waiting for? Give me a call or respond to this e-mail! I look forward to doing a Cookie Swap Party with you!

    ahahahahahahaha....

ok, this is serious. So I gather my friends to MY house and insinuate they're looking a bit older than they should be. Then they can buy things that in no way benefit me except for I can buy things at a discount. And instead of the true host providing a location and food, my friends bring food to my house.

So I'm thinking this isn't a cookie swap party at all because what profit is there in that?

This almost seems made up but I'm sure it's not. Are people really that gullible and do they sell their friends out that easily?

Yeah but usually the person is a representative themselves, right? Or it's a friend of a friend or something instead of a random person on a message board offering to allow you to do lots of work so they make money. I'm insulted by the whole anti-aging thing too, it's preying on insecurities. Anti-aging and cookies. Puts us in our place, doesn't it. Maybe the menfolk should start having ED parties?

Perhaps the galvanic spa involves some nice zinc or silver plating, so we exit as nice shiny new selves?

I think OP knows about those too. Doesn't change his user name too often...he appears to think highly of the ghetto one on Aurora, just south of 105th.

Re the "parties", I know people have them for Tupperware, candles, jewelry, etc. If I like the person and if there are things I want, I will go. It is what it is and THEY are the consultants vs. something like this.

Now I just want to giggle thinking of menfolk having a "self-improvement" party.

Well you know how women are concerned with cooking and beautifying so I'm not sure WHAT the male equivalent would be, actually. I realize I am stereotyping (as I am with women also and it is 100% making fun of it all) but I'm picturing brats and beer, maybe some flannel, and then men discussing how to make themselves more attractive or something.

teigyr: actually, there IS a business out there that targets males in this way. I forget the name of it, but it was profiled on Penn and Teller's Bullshit. Yup, the host buys brats and beer, samples, etc. Tries to sell meat, bottle openers and all manner of the junk you usually find in these kind of home businesses. After paying for the products and food/beverages of hosting, they make... usually pennies.
