I'm envisioning a home project using zinc and would like any tips/experience notes.
A possible source is Ballard Sheet Metal - anyone have experience there or somewhere else buying any sheet metal?

What are you up to SA?
Are we talking a roof and walls or something more modest in scope?
Holy sheet metal! Zinc me I'm galvanized! And drunk!
Cate: I'm thinking of a table top which I will then "age" with copper. If it works out, I'll do a room for you!
I've seen zinc countertops and tables in magazines like Country Living and they look great. Ballard Sheet Metal should have the product and people with experience working with it. Most important thing would seem to be wear really good thick gloves when working with the cut sheets of metal.
Thanks gordy, I have seen some nicely done work also.
Ballard Sheet Metal is a great place for the right thing. Good peeps there, but they're not really a retail outfit. They're a fabrication shop, and like to charge labor rates. I've used Metal Shorts a lot for "unusual" metal scraps in the past. They're down by Boeing Field
Thanks boardbrown. It's good to have additional resources, and I'll see what each has to offer.
