   Just put the following into google, with your keyword(s):

   site:myballard.com/forum <keyword>

   For example if you try this:

   site:myballard.com/forum search

   You'll see how many times this question has come up!

   Oh Ernie, Thanks! And, I think you just validated my initial dumb post:

   The UX in me suspects interface might not be as intuitive as the casual user may desire. If a search webpart could be nested at top of forum pages, seems like that'd sure be swell.

   Download the google search bar and you'll never be able to escape it. Talk about nesting on the top of every page.
